***Windy Hill
in the hills above Palo Alto was the location for today’s hike. We started near Alpine Road and followed fire-road for the most to the summit, where there is a full 360 degree panorama of the south San Francisco Bay region – the Pacific to the west; San Francisco, Mt. Tamalpais, and Oakland to the north; the Diablo Range and Mt. Diablo to the east (and possibly the glint of snow on the Sierra crest in the far distance); and the Santa Cruz Mountains to the south.
