Crowd
Crowd, Vernal Fall bridge. Yosemite National Park. May 21, 2005. Photo copyright Dan Mitchell.
One doesn’t know whether to weep about the ridiculous crowds or to be happy that so many people are out hiking in the Sierra.

Me, I am happy that they are there, but you won’t find me in the valley outside of November, December, and January.
I don’t blame you!
The last time I was in the Valley (before this May trip) was on November 21, 2004, when I hiked this same trail. I don’t think I saw as many people on the entire hike as you see in the bridge photo. Of course, the trail was iced up and it was cold – but it was also beautiful.
