Dan's Outside

I go, I see, I do, I walk, I think, I like…

Snow? Yeah!

Looks like snow is what we may get in the Sierra this weekend. While it isn’t unusual to get a few dustings in late September and the beginning of October, this storm looks a bit more robust that usual.

If all goes as planned, I may be able to offer a first-person report early next week.

  1. Well, I just got back from my trip to the Eastern Sierras today (Oct 4) and the weather over Yosemite caused a change of plans for me. I wanted to come back going through Yosemite via 120 but apparently it was closed due to snow. So I headed south down 395 and went around through Tehachapi instead. Oh well. But I did find some nice color around Sabrina Lake and the North and South Lakes as well. The lighting didn’t always cooperate though and so I didn’t come away with the pictures I hope. Even still, it was great to be there. And what a beautiful place!
